Taking another major step towards empowering growers across India, Rijk Zwaan India proudly announces the launch of its new Sweet Pepper E‑Learning Course – now available in Hindi. This course is designed for all growers who wish to cultivate sweet pepper (capsicum) in protected structures such as polyhouses and net houses, and who want to enhance their knowledge using modern techniques and expert guidance.

Rijk Zwaan India hosted a special Gherkin Industry Connect Event on 21 January 2026 in Bengaluru, bringing together leading partners, processors, and stakeholders from across the gherkin value chain. The event served as an exclusive platform to exchange insights, showcase advancements in breeding, and strengthen collaboration within the gherkin ecosystem.

Care Grows Stronger Connections

Following the successful Demo Days at our North R&D Station, Rijk Zwaan continued the momentum with Demo Days 2025 at our South R&D Station in Garakahalli, Bengaluru, Karnataka. The three-day programme welcomed approximately 340 growers, business partners, and value chain partners from across India, including Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana—making it a truly pan-India engagement.

We successfully hosted Demo Days 2025 at our R&D Station in Langrian, Punjab, bringing together 160 growers from six states for one of our most engaging and collaborative editions. The event reflected the strong partnerships we share with growers and highlighted how collaboration between our teams and customers continues to drive meaningful progress in protected cultivation.

Three products summitted fruit and vegetable breeding company Rijk Zwaan to the International Taste Institute (ITQI) this year. All three have been awarded the maximum 3-star Superior Taste Award!

Rijk Zwaan is proud to announce the opening of a new facility in De Lier. This expansion increases the fruit and vegetable breeding company’s capacity for seed cleaning, processing, storage and packaging to continue to meet the growing demand for seeds. In a ceremony attended by colleagues, construction partners and Bouke Arends, mayor of the Municipality of Westland, the new ‘Seed Connect Centre’ was officially opened on Tuesday 8 April.
